We’re pleased to announce that the Kotlin Foundation Grant Program is back for 2026.
The program provides financial support to developers who create and maintain open-source libraries, tools, and frameworks that strengthen the Kotlin ecosystem. We continue to welcome projects related to Kotlin Multiplatform, as well as libraries focused on AI and large language models.
As in previous years, grant recipients retain ownership of their work. The Kotlin Foundation does not claim any intellectual property rights or trademarks from supported projects.
To be eligible, projects should meet the following criteria:
Submit your grant proposals before July 14, 2026. Applications will be reviewed by the Kotlin Foundation’s Ecosystem Committee based on impact, project quality, long-term sustainability, and alignment with Kotlin development best practices.
If you have any questions, reach out to us at grants@kotlinfoundation.org or join the discussion in the #kotlin-foundation channel on Kotlin Slack.
To see the projects selected in previous years, take a look at our earlier winner announcements. In 2025, the program received 117 applications and recognized projects including Firebase Kotlin SDK, Shadow Gradle Plugin, Mokkery, Stack Trace Decoroutinator, and Kobweb.
