Our 2025 Annual Report is now available, providing an overview of the past year’s key initiatives and developments across the Kotlin ecosystem. This year, we’ve also introduced an updated report format: it is now fully discoverable on the web and includes interactive content such as video updates from Foundation members and visual infographics to make key insights more accessible.
The report highlights major programs such as the Kotlin Multiplatform Student Contest, the Grants Program, and our continued participation in Google Summer of Code, all of which contribute to strengthening community engagement and supporting ecosystem growth.
In 2025, the Foundation expanded its member base with the addition of Meta as a Gold Member and Block as a Silver Member. We also welcomed Sergei Rybalkin to the Board, bringing additional at-scale perspective to the Foundation. The report outlines how these partnerships and leadership contributions support the advancement of Kotlin, alongside ongoing work from Foundation members including JetBrains, Google, Gradle, Touchlab, Shopify, Kotzilla, and Uber.
The report also captures notable achievements across the ecosystem, including ongoing improvements to the Kotlin language, advancements in Kotlin Multiplatform, and updates to key tools and libraries. As part of the Foundation’s commitment to transparency, a financial summary is included.
